Broken or unclear buttons make a site feel unreliable. Every button should answer two questions: where will it take me, and what will happen next? Use clear labels like “View Portfolio,” “See Services,” or “Contact Us.” Avoid vague labels like “Start” unless the context is obvious.
Keep button styles consistent: same color, radius, and hover behavior. When each page uses different buttons, users hesitate. Also make sure links open in the same way across the site. External links can open in a new tab, but internal links should usually stay in the same tab.
Finally, test your buttons on mobile. Buttons should be easy to tap and spaced away from other links. These small improvements reduce confusion and increase user confidence.
